Join CIDA for a trip to Diablo Point on the Frontside of Santa Cruz Island aboard the Spectre dive boat with a limited load of 25 divers.
The Northside of Santa Cruz has some awesome diving that divers seldom get to. Some of these area are Hazards, Lady’s, Diablo, and Fry’s. These areas are rugged with steep cliffs, caves, and lots of crevices.

These areas are rugged with steep cliffs, caves, and lots of crevices. For this trip, we will concentrate on the areas between Diablo and Prisoners Harbor. Diablo Point has a large pinnacle, more like a seamount which is an exciting dive with its rocky underwater terrain. The sites between Diablo, such as Fry's, Platt's, and Twin Harbors are also great with lots of rocky reefs and walls. These areas are all good for photographers, hunters, and sightseers. Depths can vary from 30’-110’ and visibility can be 20’-50’.
This trip is best suited for
Advanced divers and above that have experience in cold water conditions including; current, swell, possible limited visibility and deep water. Most importantly, good buoyancy control is needed and surface signal tubes are always recommended.
